Everyone knows that Albert Einstein is a famous scientist… But do you ever notice that his view on religion and science?
Quote from Wiki:

In a 1950 letter to M. Berkowitz, Einstein stated that "My position
concerning God is that of an agnostic. I am convinced that a vivid
consciousness of the primary importance of moral principles for the
betterment and ennoblement of life does not need the idea of a
law-giver, especially a law-giver who works on the basis of reward and
punishment."

"I do not believe in a personal god and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If
something is in me which can be called religious then it is the
unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our
science can reveal it."

A paper in published  in 1940 entitled "Science and Religion". He says that: "a person who is religiously enlightened appears to me to
be one who has, to the best of his ability, liberated himself from the
fetters of his selfish desires and is preoccupied with thoughts,
feelings and aspirations to which he clings because of their
super-personal value …regardless of whether any attempt is made to
unite this content with a Divine Being, for otherwise it would not be
possible to count Buddha and Spinoza as religious personalities.

Even though the realms of religion and science in themselves are
clearly marked off from each other" there are "strong reciprocal
relationships and dependencies …science without religion is lame,
religion without science is blind… a legitimate conflict between
science and religion cannot exist."

In Einstein’s view, "neither the
rule of human nor Divine Will exists as an independent cause of natural
events. To be sure, the doctrine of a personal God interfering with
natural events could never be refuted … by science, for [it]
can always take refuge in those domains in which scientific knowledge
has not yet been able to set foot."

In a letter to Eric Gutkind in 1954 Einstein said: "The word God is for
me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses,
the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which
are nevertheless pretty childish."

Albert Einstein does believed in "God" or in other sense, the Nature of the world…

p/s: Sydney is hosting the World Youth Day 08 from 15/7 - 20/7 and mark the first visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to Australia… which will cause some public transport/taffic special arrangement… XD

Woke up early in the morning at 930…
Spent 1 and a half hour watching an animated film entitled "Persepolis"…
It’s about the story of a young Iranian girl during the Islamic Revolution…
It tells us how politic+religion screw up our life…

Although >95% of the film is in black and white… yet it’s very "artsy"…
It’s much better than what u think a black and white animated film can offer…
The whole movie is very mind provoking and hilarious… It makes you think a lot for an animation…
I think that’s the reason why this film can get so many awards and nominations…
It’s not an animation for kids but it’s definitely a worth watching one…

One of the reason i’m interested in this film also a little bit due to the M’sia politic… In the film u can see some resemblances where you are not allow to hold hand when pakto… how the government can be so deceitful… Btw, u might need to wiki some information when u watching the film due to some political jargon and a little bit of history about Iran… That’s what i did… Lol…

Because it already happened in 4/6/08 which is about 1 month ago…
It’s the 1st ever Flugtag competition in Sydney!
What’s Flugtag?
For my explanation: It’s an event which people jump into the sea with many people witness the jump…
For wiki explanation: It’s an event in which competitors attempt to fly homemade human-powered flying machines. For more detail >> Flugtag
The event took place in Mrs Macquaries Point… It has one of the best Sydney view… Directly opposite of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge… And because it’s Sunday… That day attracted >50,000 people… =_=||… In a sudden, the place has became a sardin box… x_x

It was quite a huge event… They even had the live broadcast about this flutag… For me, the event was simply eye opening (wide and big O_O)… So, this competition was very simple:

Started like this >> Went down like that >> And ended up like this… =.=

What actually amused me in this competition was the dumb fly machine design… Wahaha… Since the competition was judged based on the flying distance, creativity, and showmanship, which means it can be anything that totally out of your expectation that you think it can fly… Some examples:

The South Park fellas with their chopper, a penguin (?!) & Wile E. Coyote with his rocket XD… There was this Mr. Bean with the green Mini Cooper too but i missed the shot…

That day 1st time in my life i saw a flying clock! a slice of flying pizza! & a not-flying air craft… =_=
