Woke up early in the morning at 930…
Spent 1 and a half hour watching an animated film entitled "Persepolis"…
It’s about the story of a young Iranian girl during the Islamic Revolution…
It tells us how politic+religion screw up our life…
Although >95% of the film is in black and white… yet it’s very "artsy"…
It’s much better than what u think a black and white animated film can offer…
The whole movie is very mind provoking and hilarious… It makes you think a lot for an animation…
I think that’s the reason why this film can get so many awards and nominations…
It’s not an animation for kids but it’s definitely a worth watching one…
One of the reason i’m interested in this film also a little bit due to the M’sia politic… In the film u can see some resemblances where you are not allow to hold hand when pakto… how the government can be so deceitful… Btw, u might need to wiki some information when u watching the film due to some political jargon and a little bit of history about Iran… That’s what i did… Lol…
Quote from the film:
- In this life you’ll meet a lot of jerks. If they hurt you, tell
yourself that it’s their own stupidity that makes them act that way.
That will keep you from responding to their meanness.
- I had lost some of my relatives in a revolution, I had survive a war, and it’s a love story that almost got me.
